It is probably already creeping into
your consciousness that Valentine's Day is coming up shortly. A time
when you can buy the biggest card you can find so that you can show
'Big' love. You will do that, of course, if you are completly
brainless and have an unstoppable predeliction to squander your
money.
All the same, it will be hard to avoid
taking a trip to the shops in the coming weeks to buy some token of
your affection for your partner. That can be a pain for some. There
are those who detest shopping, and there are those who revel in it.
We all know people who would happily
spend innumerable hours gazing in shop windows, checking prices,
styles, quality and value while always keeping a beady eye out for
any new bargains. I expect if you are like that, you do what many do
- travel with suitcases that are only half-full and that will be
jammed with all the new 'buys' on the way back. It has to be said
that this is a practical and genuinely good idea. After that, the
only thing left to remember is that the best value doesn't come at
the cheapest price.
If you are planning to visit us here in
Ireland during the year you well find plenty to interest you beyond
the usual plethora of souvenirs, and you find all the enticement you
need in the upmarket department stores and glamorous boutiques. This
is something you can discover for yourself especially in Dublin where
a walk around brings you easily from one shopping area to the other.
All best done, I must add when based in a one of the quality Dublin city centre hotels where convenience is at your doorstep.
We move a bit further south to Kilkenny
for our feature offer for this post -
